First nose is heavily spicy,
especially black pepper and also some thyme comes up with swirling. Tannins are
strongly there but still the wine is not giving a deep feeling. Also it has an
unfavorable metallic touch in the palate, which would have lots of different
reasons. A medium bodied, oaky, spicy, reasonable priced wine. In case of
buying, then it is recommended with food. Not a wine to enjoy just by drinking,
it needs something accompanied. A mediocre wine from the legendary La Rioja. Right now 2009 recolte is available in Finland. 82/100 (Tasted in autumn 2011) Price: 9.99€/75cl/January 2013
